| Lydia Moxley Lydia balances her 20 years of experience as a top realtor with family, friends, and community service. Her life long passion is helping others enjoy the beauty of nature and the benefits of an active lifestyle. Lydia was born in Whigham , GA but grew up in Jacksonville , FL where she developed a love of the water and the beach.  Lydia earned a BS degree in Secondary Education from Georgia State University after a successful career as the Administrative Assistant to the President of Florida Junior College at Jacksonville and several moves with her family to Norfolk, VA, and then to Atlanta, GA.. She taught at the secondary school level in Atlanta and Richmond , VA. In 1981, the family moved to Birmingham . She served as a substitute teacher then entered a career as a Realtor. Earning her license in 1985 she has never looked back. Co-founder of her church’s Gardening Ministry , Lydia has helped bring beauty and fellowship to her church, Vestavia Hills UMC, and others through projects that add beauty yet provide places of solace and reflection. This ministry has grown from 7 people to over 50 in less than two years. Lydia is married to Rob and they have a grown, married daughter, Shari. Shari and her husband, Jamie Burnum, live in Huntsville, AL. Shari is a financial planner and Jamie is an aeronautical engineer with NASA. Rob Moxley After many invitations, Rob joined Lydia in creating a business as well as personal partnership. Moxley Partners is a natural extension of a lifetime of working together to help others. Rob’s work as an educator, civic spokesperson, trainer, and church administrator, makes Rob well suited to relate to people from all types of backgrounds and experiences. A native of Birmingham , Rob moved to Vestavia in the early 1950’s. He attended Shades Valley High School and graduated from Indian Springs School . He received his BA degree from Harvard University . After two years in law school, active duty with the Air National Guard, and work as a tax accountant with Ernst & Ernst (now Ernst & Young), he received his MA in Counseling & Guidance and a PhD in Educational Administration from the University of Alabama. Ø Birmingham-Southern College - Vice President for Business Affairs and Athletic Director In 1993, he left BSC to help lead Birmingham’s bid to host one of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games soccer venues. Successful in this goal, Rob remained with the Birmingham Olympic Soccer Committee, finishing his tenure as the director of ticketing and merchandizing. The Birmingham venue was one of the most successful and profitable venues for the 1996 Olympic Games. Rob has remained active in the sports community. Photo at announcer’s table or soccer field-will come later Rob became the Church Administrator for Vestavia Hills UMC in 1999 after serving as the Director of Training and Sales Compliance for Northwestern Mutual’s John R. Williamson Agency. The church grew its membership to over 5,000 and its budget to over $3 million dollars during his time there. A frequent teacher and Bible study leader, Rob continues to help others discover joy and understanding through their faith.
